Get It Off Your Chest for Asthma UK
We have been working with Asthma UK and thegoodagency on the Get It Off Your Chest campaign for World Asthma Day (Tuesday 3 May, 2011).
The brief was to create a campaign that helped everyone, sufferers and non-sufferers alike, understand the impact asthma has on people’s lives. And to start building relationships with new supporters that will benefit Asthma UK in future. Asthma UK wanted a bold approach distinctly different from past campaigns.
thegoodagency was tasked with developing the campaign strategy, branding and visual identity, our role was to bring the campaign to life in digital and social media.
The campaign site was a clever mash-up of Google Maps, YouTube, Facebook and bespoke elements, which was then embedded in Mumsnet and on Facebook.
We also created online display advertising that was published across Google’s ad network.
To date over 1,800 stories and messages of support have been shared, and the campaign has received celebrity endorsement from the likes of Stephen Fry, who shared his asthma story and tweeted about the campaign, Paul Scholes and Paula Radcliffe. Get It Off Your Chest was also covered by Daybreak and This Morning.
